Monday 5/20/24 7:00 pm 47 degrees

I'm supposed to be tillin the ground, running water lines, planting flowers, in short, livin the dream of a retired guy, sometimes nature dictates the path of choice. The temperature has dropped to 45 degrees, the wind is blowing a steady 15-20 mph, it's as overcast as a January day on the Oregon coast and it's raining here in paradise. If my eyes are telling the truth, it looks like it's snowing south of here on powder mountain, happy third winter.

Life just ain't all bad, Ann decided to whip out some chocolate chip cookies which I'm making disappear at an alarming rate with the help of a cup of cold milk, it just doesn't get much better, I'm a lucky man. All that to say, the Good Lord expects us to make good use of our time , better share a few thoughts along the way.

Why is it certain smells can take us back to the days of our youth along with situations that can never be eradicated from our minds. Such was the case of sitting on that park bench with Ann figuring out what had just been thrust my direction. No doubt it will be locked in the memory banks till I breath my last on this side of life.

All things being equal, I must have done something correct, she didn't cross over to the other side of the street next time I saw her- encouraging from my perspective. To say I moved slowly in developing the relationship would be a massive understatement. At the 3 month mark of the relationship I made the stratospheric leap to hold her hand, don't want to rush things. This was all new ground to me and I had seen enough of my friends love life to know there were potential for land mines , take your steps carefully.
